Picking a Frisbee to throw is very similar to picking out any sporting equipment. You can go top of the line, middle of
the road or bargain basement. With
that said there are only 2 types of Frisbee allowed for play at either event. An Ultimate/Freestyle Disc or Golf Disc. If you have played Frisbee/Disc
Golf before you should know what you can throw best.
You are only limited in quantity of disc as to what you can carry in ONE
bag. No Frisbee can exceed 200 grams
in weight.
For those who have never played Disc Golf or are just starting out, pick a Frisbee
that you can control and keep on course.
For those who have never played or play Frisbee very little, the Ultimate Frisbee/Disc
of 140 grams to 185 grams should be the most stable for you.
However, putting with a disc that size could be difficult and I would recommend
that each team have at least one Golf Disc Putter (around $7).
This is a 9 inch disc that can take a beating from the chains and throws
fairly straight, although not far at all.
Check back as we get closer to the tournament for more tips and information on what
equipment (if any) you may need.
